   It replaces traditional handwritten slates by displaying the iPad to the camera where camera captures the visual fingerprint, and playing acoustic fingerprint that sound recorder records at the start (tail slates work too) of each take.

   Eagle Slate records absolutely anything you add to it. Scene numbers, shot numbers, take numbers, production comments, and other relevant metadata (even attachments, images, voice notes too).

7. Can Eagle Slate be used with any camera and audio equipment?
   Yes, it works with any camera that can capture the visual slate and any audio recorder that can capture the audio signature. No special hardware is required.

8. What is Eagle Nest, and how does it complement Eagle Slate?
   Eagle Nest is a media-scanning platform that scans raw and proxy media files for the embedded digital fingerprints created by Eagle Slate. It extracts metadata, creating a centralized database (metadata lake) that simplifies post-production workflows.

9. How does the unique signature benefit post-production?
   The unique audio-video signatures allow for easy organization and searchability of footage. They can be scanned in post-production through Eagle Nest to create a centralized metadata database that integrates with media asset management systems (MAMs) and non-linear editors (NLEs).

10. Is Eagle Nest a MAM (Media Asset Management) System?

    No. Eagle Nest scans the media to link on-set metadata to your raw media and creates a central metadata lake. This lake can then act as a fuel for MAM or NLE or your choice.
